One Joe Prierra appeared before Magistrate I.O. Njie at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court on charges of “breaking and entering, committing a felony, and stealing.”
The case was mentioned on Monday, December 30, 2024.
The prosecution said that on December 6, 2024, at Lamin Daranka, Joe Prierra broke into the house of one Saihou Ndong through the window between 4:00 am and 5:00 amwith the intent to commit a felony therein-to wit-theft.
The court also heard that Joe on or about December 6, 2024, at Lamin Daranka, stole a play station device valued at D50,000.00, an Amazon Echo speaker valued at D10,000.00, and a wheel-puller and jack valued at D400.00. The items, said to be property of Saihou Ndong, were valued at D60,400.
After pleading guilty to the charges, W1st Class 8903 I. Chorr, representing the Inspector General of Police, requested an adjournment to present the facts of the matter and his application was granted. The matter was adjourned to January 20, 2025, for the narration of the facts and sentencing.
