Citizens Alliance senior strategic communications officer John Moses Jammeh-Sainey has stated that those who use misinformation as a political tool are unlikely to support Dr. Ismailia Ceesay’s “outstanding work”.
He described Dr. Ceesay as one of the most effective ministers in the country’s history, noting that his innovations and contributions have significantly improved the government’s image. According to Jammeh, this leaves no doubt about the Citizens Alliance’s “considerable capabilities”as a political party and has garnered immense support and respect for both the party and its leadership.
He stated that many members of the Citizens Alliance share their expertise in various government institutions without expecting any personal gain.
“We will continue to lend our support to the government as long as our membership remains engaged and active,” Jammeh told The Voice.
He emphasized that the Citizens Alliance is the most democratic party and one of the leading political parties in the country known for its policy-based political messaging, highlighting that the party is led by Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, a political scientist, boasting of a vibrant youth following.
“Citizens Alliance is in an active alliance with the NPP, making us part of the governance and development efforts in the country. We continue to engage sincerely and professionally in policy formulation and governance processes. Our effectiveness as a political party in this alliance is widely recognized,” he added.
Jammeh explained that the collaboration with the NPP stems from a genuine desire to serve the people, stating, “This alliance was formed almost a year before Hon. Dr. Ismaila Ceesay was appointed Minister for Information. It was not driven by a pursuit of political office or personal benefits.”
He also mentioned that the Citizens Alliance will hold its biennial congress on or before April 30, 2025, during which all executive positions will be up for election, stating that preparations for ward, regional, and constituency congresses across all structures are underway, to be followed by the national congress.
