The Social Security Housing and Finance Corporation (SSHFC) on Thursday trained various institutions on the social security information management system.

The main objective of the social security information management system is to promote efficiency, accountability, transparency and convenience for its members.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training at Ocean Bay Hotel in Bakau, the Managing Director of Social Security Housing and Finance Corporation, Malang Saloum, underscored the importance of the initiative, describing it as a great milestone in SSHFC’s history.

“It marks the digitization of social security operations. The social security information system is a complete digitalization of older processes. It is evident that this system will promote efficiency, transparency, accountability and reliability. You can sit in your office and register comfortably without any challenges,” MD Saloum stated.

According to him, the initiative was rolled out years back, adding that the corporation needs the commitment and collaboration of the beneficiaries for the success of the system,” he added

Mr. Saloum thanked the government for their continuous support and collaboration through the journey.

The Director of Corporate Affairs at SSHFC,Fabuka Njaay, indicated that through the social security information system, complaints can be lodged and tracked.

Mr. Njaay explained that the five-day training will extensively address the doubts of institutions.

“After the training, any institution can engage the corporation and we will happily deliver as expected,” he stated.

“The main motivation from the corporation’s perspective is to offer convenience to our members because social security belongs to the stakeholders. Members are encouraged to use the system for familiarization to the system,”he appealed.
