Sotisey AK Defsi Gambian Women Association based in the UK, On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, donated significant hospital equipment and materials to the Kanifing General Hospital proudly, an event held at the hospital premises.
Mrs. Ya Ngum, representing the association, firmly stated that her organization has been actively donating hospital supplies to facilities throughout The Gambia for the past 15 years. “We are proud to contribute these essential materials to the hospital and are determined to continue our support in the future. We call on the government to assist us with container loading, as we encounter numerous challenges in getting our items delivered,” Mrs. Ngum appealed.
Jarriatou Drammeh, the principal nurse at Kanifing General Hospital, expressed deep appreciation to the donors, highlighting that the materials arrived at a critical moment when the hospital urgently required chairs, bedside lockers, and other vital supplies.
