Hon. Sulayman Jammeh, the National Assembly Member for Bundung Ward, took decisive action last Saturday by launching a ‘setsetal’ cleaning exercise in his constituency. This initiative was executed in collaboration with the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC), the National Environment Agency (NEA), The Gambia Tourism Board, the Red Cross, and various other governmental departments.
Honourable Sulayman Jammeh rallied the residents of Bundung to actively engage in this critical road-cleaning exercise. In an interview, he firmly expressed his gratitude to the community for their trust and confidence in him and his partnering organizations. He also extended his appreciation to all stakeholders who played a role in the successful execution of this event.
“Given that the road was under construction, this cleaning effort is a vital part of our vision, which has now come to fruition. We thank the government of The Gambia and the president for delivering this top-notch road for the people of Bundung,” he said.
Recognizing the exceptional dedication of the youth of Bundung, Hon Jammeh urged residents to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their neighborhoods and around their properties.
Among participants, Lamin Kujabi and Lassana Camara both commended the NAM for spearheading this cleaning initiative and expressed their gratitude to the government and all involved stakeholders.
