Tujereng United Defeat Sukuta United 3rd Division Qualification Round

Tujereng United defeated Sukuta United in the third Division qualification round moving up to points at Sukuta mini stadium over the weekend.

Kebba Bojang of Sukuta United opened the scoresheet in the 52 minutes of the game which gave room for Khadri Sowe’s equalizing goal for Tujereng United in the 56 minutes of the game.

Malang Ndong doubled the lead for Tujereng United in the 58 minutes of the game to close the scoresheet.

Speaking to the Head Coach of Tujereng United, Sulayman Ndong said that their victory against Sukuta United was significant, adding that they fought well to gather 3 points which according to him has saved the team from relegation from the 3 Division zone.

”We will go back and prepare ourselves again, try to make some adjustments, come in the second round, I believe you will see Tujereng on top of the table”, Tujereng’s head coach said.

According to him, Tujereng players who are currently playing for the community have shown their love for their community, adding that he is optimistic about playing in the 3rd Division playoff into the 2nd Division League.

For his part, Lamin Kanyi, the head coach of Sukuta, stated that losing a home game was not well deserving, stating that he is looking forward to collecting more points in the upcoming games.

”We failed to capitalize on our chances in collecting 3 points”, he noted.

Kanyi promised to work on the weakness of his team in the upcoming game for better results in the 3rd Division qualification round.

Meanwhile, Tujereng United lost to Jam City FC by 4-, but managed to collect a point from Gambinos and Berewuleng with a victory against Dreams by 2-1 following their away game victory against Sukuta United whilst Sukuta United are at the bottom of the table standing with 3 points after 5 games.
