The alleged accused of the shooting of the three police officers, Ousainou Bojang, has accepted ownership of the Techno Spark 8 Smart cell phone presented to him at the court despite prior futile attempts to log into it.

The standstill sitting on Monday that was delayed after Ousainou’s fruitless efforts to log into the cellphone to ascertain if he owns the cellphone allegedly taken from his house has now been resolved after Ousainou accepted it, but denied owning its cover.

Defense lawyer at that juncture applied that the Techno Spark 8 cellphone without its cover be admitted and marked as an exhibit, adding that the mobile phone formed a key component of his client’s defense.

However, the Director of Public Prosecution, AM Yusuf with an objection vehemently argued that the totality of the defense lawyer Darboe’s application was inaccurate, stating that the cellphone in question was seized with its cover while urging the court to dismiss the application of the defense.

DPP Yusuf stated that initially, the accused denied owning the Techno Spark 8 cellphone noting that the accused acceptance of the mobile phone was sudden.

At the peak of the heated argument, Justice Jaiteh overruled the objection of DPP Yusuf and admitted the Techno Spark 8 Cellphone as an exhibit.
