Dr. Daffeh is President of Gambia Veterinary Medical Assoc.

The Gambia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA) has during its Annual General Meeting on Saturday unanimously selected Dr. Kebba Daffeh as GVMA President.

Dr. Daffeh, erstwhile director of Veterinary Services of The Gambia and leading animal welfare advocate with wealth of experience, has over the years contributed immensely to the enhancement of veterinary services in the country, earning the trust of his colleagues to select him to lead this important animal welfare association.

The Annual General Meeting also saw the selection of Dr. Ousman Ceesay as the association’s secretary-general, Dr. Abdou Ceesay as PRO and Dr. Mustapha Sheriff Manneh.

In attendance was a cross-section of veterinary doctors from across the country and the hallmark of the meeting was the selection of new executives of the association following the expiration of the tenure of the past executive.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Kebba Daffeh thanked his colleagues for the confidence in unanimously selecting him as President, noting that it’s a mammoth responsibility, which he is prepared to square up to with the support of the entire membership.

He thanked the President of the outgoing Executive, Dr. Badara Loum, and the entire membership of the outgoing executive for the service they rendered to the association over the years.
