Sabally, Others Advised to Maintain Dignity

By: Kemo Kanyi

Karamo Njie, public relations officer for the opposition United Democratic Party in the North Bank Region (NBR), has called on presidential adviser Momodou Sabally, the cyber security adviser to the President and head of media and communication for the NPP Sulayman Camara and other sympathizers of the NPP from the NBR “to uphold the respect and dignity the region is known for”.

Expressing worry about the conduct of the indigenes of his region within the NPP, Njie said they are fighting against their own party militants and at the same time fighting with the opposition party militants which, he said, is not a portrayal of a good character. He stated that those educated individuals are the people that the NBR can rely on if there’s anything to brag about but lamented that the people of the region do not like their behaviours.

“Every uproar and attack from NPP camp comes from the natives of our region. I want to advise them to be mindful of their utterances either directed to their own party militants or the opposition. Fatoumata Jawara and Majanko Samusa had contributed to the rejection of the 2020 draft constitution and the country still struggles to get a new constitution. Sulayman Camara is also creating brouhaha within the NPP media team. Such things cannot continue to come from our own sons and daughters. They are not the only people in the government, there are people from other regions as well, but those people are not creating discomfiture in the country. This is a collective as indigenes of NBR,” Mr. Njie told The Voice in an interview on Tuesday.
