The National Assembly Member for Banjul North, Modou Lamin Bah, has been elected as the West Africa Bloc Representative (English Speaking Countries) at the NEAPACOH Executive Committee.
This decision was made at the Network for African Parliamentary Committees of Health (NEAPACOH) 16th annual general gathering held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from the 5-7 March, 2025, where 26 countries in Africa were represented by their Members of Parliament from Health and budgetary committees, support staff, together with members from Civil Society Organizations.
As the head of delegation, he also laid the NEAPACOH 2025 report on behalf of The Gambia with great commitments towards enhancing better healthcare system through parliament and other relevant stakeholders.
He also networked with potential partners committed to work with the Gambia government through the Ministry of Health to strengthen the Gambia’s healthcare services especially on TB, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Maternal Health and Population and Development. Together with his team, they are committed to setup the first-ever TB caucus in parliament to support efforts towards addressing TB in The Gambia.
